SU’s Inman, Brinsfield Capture C2C Weekly Baseball Honors
The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the first week of the 2026 baseball season. Salisbury's Jackson Inman took home C2C Player of the Week honors, while the Sea Gulls Aidan Brinsfield was named C2C Pitcher of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jackson Inman, Salisbury
Salisbury sophomore Jackson Inman slashed .667/.625/1.667 with two doubles, two triples, four runs, and six RBIs in the Sea Gulls' dominant doubleheader sweep of Moravian. In Game 1, he bashed a double and two triples, plating four runs and scoring three of his own. In Game 2, Inman belted another double with two more RBIs and another run.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Aidan Brinsfield, Salisbury
Salisbury junior Aidan Brinsfield spun six scoreless, hitless innings as part of the Sea Gulls' seven-inning combined no-hitter in Game 2 against Moravian on Saturday. Brinsfield walked two and struck out seven on 83 pitches in his latest SU gem.

PITCHER: Jackson Baird, Christopher Newport
C2C HIGHLIGHTS
Christopher Newport's Jake Benedict delivered 10 total bases in 15 plate appearances for the Captains as he helped lead CNU to a 3-0 start to the season. Out of the leadoff spot, Benedict smacked four doubles with six hits in 13 at-bats for a .462 batting average. He drove in a pair, stole one base, and scored six times. He reached base multiple times in all three games with three hits against Eastern Mennonite, two hits and a walk in game one against SVU, and one hit and a walk in game two against the Knights. He also snagged four putouts and picked up his first outfield assist of the season in five chances defensively… Christopher Newport's Jackson Baird picked up the win in the season opener for the Captains after throwing 5.1 innings of no-hit ball against Eastern Mennonite. He struck out six and walked three, finishing out the game with 0 hits and 1 earned run allowed.
