Christopher Newport’s Jahn Hines Repeats as C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week

The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the 16th week of the 2024-25 men's basketball season. Christopher Newport senior Jahn Hines earned C2C Men's Basketball Player of the Week recognition.


MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jahn Hines, Christopher Newport

Christopher Newport senior Jahn Hines concluded the regular season with another spectacular performance on Saturday, leading the Captains with 32 points and eight rebounds in a victory at Mary Washington. The three-time All-American scored 18 in the first half and added 14 more after halftime while moving into second place on CNU's all-time scoring list. The Norfolk, Va., standout is now just 14 points shy of 2,000 for his career heading into the C2C Tournament.

Kedrick Frink, Salisbury; Kye Robinson, Mary Washington


C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Kedrick Frink starred for Salisbury across the final two games of the regular season, dropping a season-high 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals against Mary Washington before posting 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting with five assists, four rebounds and two steals on Senior Day. He averaged 19.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game this week while totaling 10 assists, five steals and a block… Freshman guard Kye Robinson led Mary Washington to a split in C2C action against Salisbury and Christopher Newport, averaging 21 points per game while shooting 56% from the floor. On Tuesday at Salisbury, he scored a career-high 27 points on 8-12 shooting, going 3-6 from distance, and made 8-9 free throws. He also dished out a team-high six assists and added two steals and two rebounds. On Saturday against CNU, he scored a team-high 15 points on 6-13 shooting, making 1-2 three-point shots and both his free throws. He grabbed six rebounds and added two assists.
