The 2012 CAC fall playoffs resume today (Nov. 1) after a two-day interruption due to the impact of Hurrican Sandy throughout the region.

The next round of CAC playoffs in all four sports - field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball - were re-scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 1.

The championship matches for field hockey, men's soccer and women's soccer will still be scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3.

Because volleyball's first-round matches are being moved to Thursday, the semifinal round will be played Friday, and the championship match will be scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

Pending any emergency issues presented by the storm in the next few days, here is the updated CAC fall sports playoff schedule:

Field Hockey - THURSDAY (11/1) - SMC at UMW, 3:30 ... WES at SAL, 6 p.m.
Field Hockey - SATURDAY (11/3) - Championship Game (time 2 p.m. at UMW or 6 p.m. at SAL if one of the top 2 seeds host)

Volleyball - THURSDAY (11/1) - (both matches at 7 p.m.) - FSU at UMW ... YCP at SMC
Volleyball - FRIDAY (11/2) - (both matches at 7 p.m.) - FSU/UMW winner at SAL ... YCP/SMC winner at MU
Volleyball - SUNDAY (11/4) - 1 p.m. - Champ game at highest seed

Women's Soccer - THURSDAY (11/1) - UMW at SAL, 2:30 p.m. ... YCP at FSU, 4 p.m.
Women's Soccer - SATURDAY (11/3) - Championship Game (time TBA)

Men's Soccer - THURSDAY (11/1) - UMW at SAL, 2:30 p.m. ... YCP at FSU (30 minutes afer women's game)
Men's Soccer - SATURDAY (11/3) - Championshp Game (time TBA)
