Mary Washington's Caitlin Baker, Christopher Newport's Belle Tunstall Lead Group of Four CAC Field Hockey Players on NFHCA All-America Team

Four CAC field hockey players were honored as All-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Monday.
Mary Washington senior Caitlin Baker and Christopher Newport junior Belle Tunstall earned first team honors, Salisbury sophomore Samantha Johnson was named to the second team, and Christopher Newport senior Marlene Lichty nabbed third team recognition.
Baker earned All-America honors for the second straight season after being named a second team choice a season ago. The senior midfielder ranked third in the CAC in points with 35 after posting 12 goals and 11 assists in 2013.
Tunstall, the CAC Co-Player of the Year and NFHCA South Region Player of the Year, helped guide CNU to its first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance this fall. Tunstall led the conference with 18 goals and 47 points while ranking second with 11 assists.
The lone All-America selection for the national runner-up Sea Gulls, Johnson helped Salisbury make its first appearance in the NCAA championship game since 2009 with a stellar campaign this fall. The sophomore forward led the CAC in assists with 13, while also adding seven goals on the year.
Lichty earns All-America honors from the NFHCA for the second time after also being a third team pick in 2012. The senior anchored the midfield for the Captains while contributing seven goals, including three game-winners, and five assists this year.
