Salisbury Falls to Bowdoin 1-0 in NCAA Field Hockey Championship
Salisbury dropped a 1-0 decision to Bowdoin in the NCAA Field Hockey Championship on Sunday in Norfolk, Va., on the campus of Old Dominion University.
After a scoreless first half, the Polar Bears' Katie Riley knocked home what would prove to be the game-winner in the 37th minute.
Junior Summer Washburn, sophomore Samantha Johnson, and freshman Yumi Kim were named to the All-Tournament team for the Sea Gulls.
The championship appearance marked the sixth in program history for the Sea Gulls, who were making their 20th straight and 29th overall trip to the NCAA tournament.
