Will Scarborough Is Second Individually And Leads Wesley Into 9th Place Midway Through The 2008 NCAA Golf Championship Tournament

Wesley's Will Scarborough is in second place, four shots off the pace,  and leading the Wolverines to ninth place out of 36 teams midway through the four-day NCAA Men's Golf Championship Tournament.

Scarborough carded an even-par 71 in Wednesday's second round action and has a two-day total of 143.  Scott Harris of St. John Fisher posted a three-under-par 68 Wednesday and has a 139 total through two rounds.

Wesley posted a team score of 304 Wednesday, seven shots better than Tuesday's first round, and is in the clubhouse midway through the tournament in ninth place with a team total of 315. 

St. John Fisher leads the team standings with a 596 score, six strokes better than second-place Oglethorpe University.  Wesley is just six shots out of fifth place, currently held by Methodist (609).

Wesley's team improvement featured Riley Powers' four-over-par 75 on Wednesday.  Mike Rushin and CAC Championship medalist Chris Osberg both posted scores of 79, marking the first day in the tournament all four Wolverine scorers broke 80.

In the overall individual standings, Rushin and Andrew Guyer are tied for 70th place with two-day totals of 158.  Osberg and Powers are tied for 97th place with two-day totals of 161.
