Complete PING All-America Team 

Christopher Newport sophomore Matt DiSalvo was tabbed an Honorable Mention All-American today, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). DiSalvo picked up Division III PING Honorable Mention All-America honors, marking the fourth straight year a Captain has been pegged among the nation's top players.

DiSalvo was joined on the Division III PING All-Region squad by teammates Jonathan Howard and Sam Robinson, along with York's David Boslough. 

The Captains' sophomore was one of 26 players to earn Honorable Mention honors in 2014. DiSalvo is the eighth player in program history to collect All-American laurels, doing so after leading the team in stroke average with a 75.8 mark in 18 rounds of play. The first team All-Conference selection also earned second team All-State (VaSID) honors, while picking up his first spot on the PING All-Region squad. 

DiSalvo finished with a pair of top-10 efforts in his second season in the top five for Christopher Newport, including a season-best effort at the West Cup when he tied for third in a 94-man tournament field. He also finished sixth at the CAC Championship Tournament with a nine-over par score in the two-day tournament. 

Also picking up All-Region honors in the Mid-Atlantic for CNU were Howard and Robinson. The Captains were second in the region with three total selections, trailing only St. John Fisher who earned five All-Region picks. It is the first time in program history that CNU has captured three All-Region selections in one year.

Howard was named the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year after capturing individual medalist honors at the CAC Golf Championship. The first team All-Conference senior was also named first team All-State and carried a 76.5 stroke average, ranking second on the team. He grabbed a pair of top ten efforts this year, including the championship in the league tournament, while also finishing tied for seventh in the primarily Division I field at the George Mason Patriot Invitational. 

Robinson finished fourth at the CAC Golf Championship and was one of just three CNU players to start in 16 rounds or more this season. In seven events, he finished the year with a 76.8 average. He also earned first team All-CAC and a second team All-State pick.

Boslough led York with a scoring average of 76.8 throughout 19 tournaments in 2013-14. The Junior placed tied for eighth at the CAC Championships with a two-day total of 155, earning second team All-CAC accolades for the second straight year. Boslough posted six top-five finishes on the year, including the tournament title at the Ursinus Fall Invitational.
