Penn State Harrisburg Men's Golf Wins Revolutionary Classic; Marymount and Wesley Also Open Spring Campaigns
The Penn State Harrisburg men's golf team opened its spring season in impressive fashion, capturing the team title at the Revolutionary Classic hosted by Ursinus at Patriots Glen National Golf Club on March 22.
Wesley and Marymount also opened their spring seasons this past weekend.
Penn State Harrisburg totaled 318 strokes to win the 11-team Revolutionary Classic. The Lions outlasted Marywood (324) for the team crown. Tyler Shank and Tyler Massar tied for third place for the Lions with six-over 78's, while Collin Hagenbuch tied for sixth with an 80.
Wesley also competed at the Revolutionary Classic, taking eighth with 362 strokes. Tyler Spielberger led the Wolverines with a 13th-place finish out of 61 golfers with an 11-over, 83. Just behind him at 13-over was Dylan Chessher.
Marymount competed at the Lynchburg Invitational March 23-24, taking home an eighth place finish out of 10 teams to kick off the spring season. Brad Johnson posted an 80 in the opening round, followed by an 81 in the final, to collect the team-best 17th place finish. Kyle Weitenberg fell in line just after Johnson, registering a 84-78 effort to tie for 20th.
