Christopher Newport Men's Golf Tied for 23nd After Day One of NCAA Championships
The Christopher Newport men's golf team finished in a tie for 23rd place after day one of the NCAA Division III Championships on Tuesday at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, N.Y.
CNU posted a team total of 314 on day one to land in a tie for 23rd in the field of 41 teams.
David Rabil led the Captains with a two-over 74, currently tied for 18th among the 210 competitors. Harry Nodwell is tied for 52nd following his day-one 77, while Charlie Peavley (81), Sam Robinson (82), and Joey Corlett (84) rounded out the individual scores.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps holds an 11-shot lead in the team standings at 286 strokes after day one, with Kethan Reddy atop the individual leaderboard with a four-under 68.
The Captains will return to action on Wednesday for round two.
