The trio now brings the number of St. Mary's College of Maryland men's lacrosse players honored as Scholar All-Americans to be nine all-time. In all, 92 NCAA Division I, II, and III men's lacrosse players were honored by the USILA for their excellence in the classroom. Harty, Mitchell, and Mull will now be recognized at the 2013 USILA All-America Awards Presentation on Saturday, May 25 at 10:00 am at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott.

Harty, Mitchell, and Mull, who graduated on May 11, were the only Capital Athletic Conference players named to the list. Harty earned a bachelor's of arts degree in public policy studies with a minor in history, compiling a 3.015 cumulative grade point average in four years. Mitchell pursued a B.A. in sociology with a 3.343 GPA while Mull completed his degree in history with a minor in educational studies, finishing with a 3.22 GPA.

Harty is coming off earning his first-ever All-CAC honor as he garnered a spot on the first team after leading the team with 30 caused turnovers. The 5-9 defenseman, who started all 19 games this season, finished fourth on the team with 35 ground balls. Harty added an assist as well in a 10-9 win over Frostburg State University on March 30. His 30 caused turnovers came in fourth in the conference. The two-year team captain collected CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on April 1. Harty registered career-highs of seven caused turnovers and six ground balls against Frostburg State.

Mitchell repeated as a second team all-star as he shares the conference lead with 189 face-off wins. The 5-10 face-off specialist ended his senior campaign 44th in the nation with a .600 face-off percentage (213-of-355). His team-leading 130 ground balls were second in the conference while his 7.65 ground balls per game average ranks 28th in Division III. Mitchell won a career-high 21 face-offs in leading the Seahawks to a 13-12 triumph over then No. 11 Roanoke College on February 17 while scooping up a season-best 13 loose balls in a 12-6 win over future CAC member, Christopher Newport University, on March 23.

Mull ended his Seahawk career as a two-time all-conference selection, including a first team nod as a senior. He led the Seahawks in scoring for the second year in a row with 58 points on 21 goals and team-best 37 helpers. The 5-9 attackman picked up his 100th career assist in a 17-5 victory over Goucher College on April 3. Mull finished in a tie for the conference lead in assists while ranking 44th in Division III with a 1.95 assist average. He came in sixth in the league in points as well. Mull was the CAC Offensive Player of the Week on April 8. He recorded six games with at least three assists, including a season-best five twice.

St. Mary's ended the 2013 campaign with a 12-7 (4-2 CAC) overall record, having captured the program's third CAC championship crown with a 13-11 win over then-No. 8 Salisbury University on May 1. The CAC title gave the Seahawks the school's first-ever berth in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament.
