11 CAC Men's Soccer Players Named To NSCAA South-Atlantic All-Region Team
Salisbury senior Justin Lambert, Mary Washington senior T.L. Tutor and Stevenson sophomore Ansger Otto were first-team honorees and led an 11-player contingent from the Capital Athletic Conference on the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) South-Atlantic All-Region team.
Otto, the 2010 CAC Player of the Year, and Tutor were first-team all-region forwards while Lambert earned recognition as one of the top defenders in the region.
Tutor and Lambert both had teammates that earned third-team all-region honors this season. UMW senior midfielder Ryan Taibl joined Tutor on the all-region squad while senior forward Michael Napolitano was honored along with Lambert.
York, which won its second-straight CAC title, placed a conference-best five players on the all-region team - and all five were second-team honorees, including senior midfielder Lucas Emil, junior defender Andy Stromberg, junior midfielder Mike Gill, junior forward Kemal Nusphaic and sophomore keeper Jesse Derksen.
Marymount was the fifth CAC team represented on the 2010 all-region squad as junior forward Kjell Crooke earned third-team recognition.
All 11 all-region players were previously named to the 2010 All-CAC team.
