Salisbury’s Brunetti, Mary Washington’s Kickbush Selected C2C Men's Soccer Players of the Week

The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the fifth week of the 2025 men's soccer season. Salisbury's David Brunetti claimed C2C Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Mary Washington's Tristan Kickbush was tabbed C2C Defensive Player of the Week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: David Brunetti, Salisbury

Salisbury freshman David Brunetti recorded six points with three goals in a pair of Sea Gulls victories last week.  He scored the game-winner in a 1-0 win over St. Mary's (Md.). Brunetti then added two goals at No. 24 Carnegie Mellon. He struck first versus the Tartans in the sixth minute and buried a PK in the 60th minute.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tristan Kickbush, Mary Washington

Mary Washington senior Tristan Kickbush helped contribute to the Eagles' two shutouts this week. Against Bridgewater on Wednesday, Kickbush played over 82 minutes, recording five saves before being subbed out for the final seven minutes in the 3-0 win. And against Messiah, the Falcons recorded 10 shots but were unable to come away with any goals as Kickbush recorded the victory and shutout.

C2C HIGHLIGHTS

Johnson & Wales Charlotte's Eugenio de la Parra Polina had a five-point performance in the Wildcats win over Warren Wilson on Wednesday. He opened the game by scoring in the third minute, added a second goal 23 minutes later, and then assisted on the eventual game winner just after halftime.  Helped JWU go 2-0 for the week… Christopher Newport's Joe Summerfield scored the game-winning goal on the road at Marymount this week as the Captains played just one game, improving to 7-0-2 with a 1-0 win against the Saints. His score in the 73rd minute was his second goal of the season and put the Captains on top. He played 37 minutes and finished the game with one shot… Mary Washington's Jack Sturman played some of the best soccer of his career at UMW as the junior netted his first two career goals this past week. Against Bridgewater on Wednesday, Sturman finished off a one-timer from the top-left corner of the box, netting the game-winning goal. And on Saturday against Messiah, Sturman scored once more, scoring the second goal in a 2-0 victory over the Falcons… Salisbury's Will Noble earned a clean sheet vs. St. Mary's. It was his first career shutout and first career win with four saves versus the Seahawks… Christopher Newport's Carson Friedlein continued his stellar sophomore season with another outstanding game on Saturday, helping the CNU defense lock down its fourth shutout of the year. The back line surrendered just three shots on-goal while on the road and gave up only one corner kick in the whole game. On the other end, Friedlein showed off his long throw and picked up an assist on the game's lone goal in the 73rd minute. His toss resulted in a goal by Joe Summerfield that proved to be the difference in a 1-0 game… UC Santa Cruz's Tobias Jacobson-Bell recorded 17 saves on the weekend, including a 10-save shutout performance against Southwestern in a 0-0 tie on Sunday morning. Jacobson-Bell ended the weekend with a .895% save percentage and recorded seven saves against No. 5 Trinity.
