The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the eighth week of the 2025 men's soccer season. Christopher Newport's Barry Jones picked up C2C Offensive Player of the Week honors, while the Captains Asher Kuzemka was named C2C Defensive Player of the Week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Barry Jones, Christopher Newport

Christopher Newport senior Barry Jones scored the game-winning goal against Salisbury in the only game of the week for the nationally ranked Captains. He finished on a beautiful combination play from Asher Kuzemka and Joe Summerfield before he shot the ball into the left side of the goal to give CNU a 1-0 lead. The Captains would go on to win the game with Jones' goal holding up as the only tally.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Asher Kuzemka, Christopher Newport

Christopher Newport senior Asher Kuzemka neutralized the Salisbury attack by leading the Captains midfield unit in a shutout effort against the Sea Gulls. He and the rest of the back line held Salisbury to a season-low two shots on-goal in the game and gave up just seven total attempts from the field. On the other end, Kuzemka started the game's lone goal-scoring run when he passed ahead into the box for an assist on Barry Jones' game-winning goal.
