Mary Washington Men's Tennis Punches Ticket to CAC Championship; Eagles Will Host Christopher Newport on Saturday
Top-seeded Mary Washington punched its ticket to the CAC men's tennis championship with a 5-0 victory over fifth-seeded York on Wednesday, setting up a title rematch with second-seeded Christopher Newport on Saturday.
CNU defeated Salisbury 5-1 on Tuesday in the other semifinal. UMW, ranked 18th in the nation, will host 35th-ranked CNU at 3 p.m. in Fredericksburg. Va.
This marks the third straight year that the Eagles and Captains will collide for the title. The Eagles will seek their 19th straight CAC crown on Saturday.
