Salisbury Trio, York's Zittle Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors
Complete Academic All-District Softball Team
A quartet of CAC softball student-athletes have been selected to the Academic All-District Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDa) on Thursday.
The Salisbury trio of senior infielder Paige Knussman, senior pitcher Annah Brittingham, and junior outfielder Caitlin Lake received the honor, while York sophomore Savannah Zittle represented the Spartans on the squad.
To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or key reserve on their team.
All four players are now eligible to be selected to the Academic All-America Team, which will be announced later this month. The CAC has had 12 Academic All-America selections in softball, including a conference-best eight from Salisbury.
