The 2026 Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference honors have been announced:
Men's Athlete of the Year: Kai Smith – Salisbury
Smith boasted top honors for the second time in his distinguished career. The senior captured a pair of national titles in the 100- and 200-meters at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships to score 20 points and help Salisbury place eighth. Smith recorded all-time marks, moving up to No. 2 in NCAA DIII history in the 100 (10.14) and No. 3 in the 200 (20.42), and received Most Outstanding Men's Track Performer of the Championships and USTFCCCA Men's Track Athlete of the Year recognition. Additionally, he won both events at the C2C championships to earn track athlete of the meet distinction and broke the league overall and meet records.
Women's Athlete of the Year: Ellie Nuckols - Christopher Newport
Nuckols headlined the awards after a successful junior season. She placed sixth in the heptathlon at the DIII Outdoor Championships to earn first-team All-American honors with a conference and program record 4,887 points. Nuckols also qualified for nationals in the 400-meter hurdles after winning the C2C title and setting the league's overall and meet records. She was tabbed C2C track athlete of the meet with 34 points in seven events including runner-up finishes in the 400-meters and 100m hurdles.
