CNU was one of just two programs to earn multiple honors on the 2014 All-State team, and it is the first time since 2007-08 that a pair of Captains earned first team honors. It is Perry's second straight first team selection and Mitchell's first career All-State honor.

Perry was named a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American and a second team All-Region selection by D3hoops.com. She was the team's leading scorer throughout the season until a broken foot sidelined her for the final few games of the regular season and conference tournament. She returned in the NCAA Tournament, battling through the injury, and finished the year second on the team with 15.4 points per game. She became the 24th player in progarm history to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau and climbed the scoring charts to 12th all-time at CNU, with 1,279 career points. She also finished her career with 656 rebounds and 271 steals, leading the team in thefts for three straight seasons.

She was also a first team All-Conference selection, becoming a three-time All-League selection and two-time first team honoree. She twice earned All-Region honors from D3hoops.com, becoming just the fourth player in program history to earn multiple All-Region honors.

Mitchell joined Perry on the VaSID All-State team in 2014, after piecing together the finest season in her illustrious career. Mitchell finished her career as the nation's leader in games played among active players, and helped guide CNU to three deep runs in the NCAA Tournament. This season, the fourth-year player scored a team-high 16.0 points per game while chipping in 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. She took over as the team's leading three-point shooter, knocking down 37% of her shots from beyond the arc, and was a formidable presence on the floor for over 28 minutes per game.

Named first team All-Conference, Mitchell also joined the 1,000-point club in her senior season, becoming the 25th player to reach that mark. She finished her career with 1,262 points, in 123 career games, including 90 straight starts.

In four years as members of the CNU basketball team, Perry and Mitchell helped guide the Captains to an NCAA Final Four and subsequent third place finish, a Sweet 16 and an Elite Eight finish. In three trips to the NCAA Tournament, the pair helped CNU post an impressive 10-3 record in the postseason dance.
