Top Two Seeds Salisbury And York Advance To CAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Game

Second-ranked Salisbury and 10th-ranked York, the top two seeds in the 2013 CAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament, defended home turf Saturday to earn berths in next Saturday's conference championship match.

No. 2 Salisbury rolled to the CAC final with a 16-4 win over St. Mary's. With the win, the Sea Gulls advance to the CAC final, looking to capture their 11th consecutive CAC championship.  Senior Lauren Feusahrens moved into the No. 5 spot in program history for goals scored with five goals on the afternoon for Salisbury (17-0), passing Flossy Owens (1992-95). The Solomons, Md., native now has a team-high 48 goals this season, and 151 in her career.

The #10 York advances to the championship game of the 2013 CAC Tournament after a 12-5 victory over Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon in the semifinal round of playoffs at Kinsley Field.  The Spartans win extends their overall record to 13-3, while the Eagles finish their season at 11-7. 

The starting time for Saturday's women's championship game will be announced Monday.
