Marymount Women's Lacrosse Earns Spot in ECAC Championship
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced the extension of the Marymount women's lacrosse team's season on Monday morning, naming it to the field of seven teams this year for the ECAC Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.
The Saints, who went 10-6 through the regular season, were named the No. 5 seed in the tournament, and will head to No. 4-seed Marywood (12-6) on Wednesday, May 10 for a first-round matchup. Start time is set for 7 p.m.
Stockton University (9-6) was named the top seed in the tournament, earning it a first-round bye and the right to host the semifinals and championship this weekend in New Jersey.
If the Saints advance,they will move on to the semifinals on Saturday, May 13 against the winner of No. 3 Drew (11-7) and No. 6 Arcadia (8-8). That game would be slated to start at 2 p.m., at Stockton.
