Salisbury Collects 2006 CAC Women's Soccer Title
The third-seeded Salisbury University women’s soccer team won their first Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) tournament championship since 2000 with a 4-0 shutout over fourth-seeded St. Mary’s (Md.) on Saturday afternoon. The conference title is the third for the Sea Gulls overall as they also won the tournament in 1994 and 2000. Salisbury will now advance to the NCAA Division III championship tournament where they will await the official field announcement on Monday morning, November 6. The field will be released on www.ncaasports.com. The first round of the tournament will begin on Wednesday, November 8.
