Gabbi Maher Leads Frostburg State Women's Cross Country At The Waynesburg Invitational
Frostburg competed at the Waynesburg Invitational on Saturday, finishing 11th overall. Sophomore Gabbi Maher was the first Bobcat to cross the finish line at 26:36.1. She was followed by sophomore Bryn Allston and Jen Bower at 27:23.0 and 26:36.1. Frostburg will be inactive next week and will host the Frostburg State University Invitational in 2 weeks on the 22nd.
Southern Virginia and St. Mary’s contested at the Washington and Lee Invitational on Saturday. St. Mary’s Freshman Emily Plum was the first Seahawk to score, coming in 21st overall at 23:42.00. Southern Virginia finished 2nd and St. Mary’s finished 5th, respectively. St. Mary’s will be inactive next weekend and will compete at the Frostburg State University Invitational on Sept. 22nd. Southern Virginia will travel to Virginia next weekend for the James Madison Invitational.
Wesley raced against Division I and Division II schools on Friday at the Delaware State Invitational. Senior Tristin Burns completed the 5K race in 21:05.89, finishing 11th overall. While Senior Twila McCrea made an impressive 2 minute deduction in her time from last year on the course and came in at 24:33.64. Wesley will compete in the Cappy Anderson Invitational next weekend in Princess Anne, MD.
