Five CAC Women's Cross Country Teams Receive All-Academic Honors from USTFCCCA; CNU's Bullen, UMW's Parent Earn Individual Accolades

Five CAC women's cross country teams were honored as All-Academic Teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association on Wednesday, while two individuals also picked up accolades.

Christopher Newport, Frostburg State, Mary Washington, St. Mary's, and Salisbury each garnered team recognition from the USTFCCCA. To earn All-Academic Team status, programs must have compiled a cumulative grade-point average of 3.10 or greater and competed in at least five different meets with at least five runners representing their school at each in the 2014 season.

Below are the cumulative team GPA's for each of the five CAC teams that received the award:

Additionally, two CAC individual cross country standouts earned recognition from the USTFCCCA. Christopher Newport's Hannah Bullen and Mary Washington's Victoria Parent were named All-Academic athletes. To earn the honor, athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have finished in the top 25 percent of finishers at their regional championships.
