Four Earn All-Region Honors at Women's Cross Country Regional

NCAA South/Southeast Regional Results | NCAA Mideast Regional Results 

Four CAC runners earned All-Region accolades at the NCAA South/Southeast Women's Cross Country Regional championship on Saturday. 

Christopher Newport, Mary Washington, Southern Virginia, and Marymount represented the CAC at the South/Southeast Regional in Newport, News, Va., while York, Salisbury, St. Mary's and Frostburg State all competed at the Mideast Regional in Carlisle, Pa. 

South/Southeast Regional | Newport News, Va. 

Christopher Newport placed eighth in the 34-team field to lead the quartet of CAC teams at the South/Southeast Regional, while Mary Washington also recorded a top-10 placing in 10th. Southern Virginia placed 17th and Marymont finished 28th. 

CAC individual champion Morgan Bingham of Southern Virginia led CAC runners in 12th place with a time of 22:04.2. Mary Washington's Jillian Weisbeck took 14th at 22:10.7. SVU"s Sydney Bigelow placed 18th, while CNU's Jessica Lee also earned All-Region accolades in 32nd place 22:46.0. 

Mideast Regional | Carlisle, Pa. 

Salisbury was the top CAC team at the Mideast Regional, taking 11th in the 49-team field 411 points, while York took 14th 482 points. St. Mary's finished 35th, while Frostburg State did not complete a team score. 

York's Alayna DeBruin was the top CAC finisher at the meet, taking 53rd with a time of 23:45.0.
