YORK, Pa. -- Penn State Harrisburg junior Keith Miller was selected as the CAC Golfer of the Week for Sept. 20, 2016.

Penn State Harrisburg junior Keith Miller was selected as the CAC Golfer of the Week after placing second individually and leading the Lions to the team title at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational. Miller shot a one-under (-1) par 143 (73-70) to claim second place in a field of 66 golfers, finishing behind only Gettysburg's Danny Harcourt (-4). The Lions won the 13-team tournament with a two-day total of 593, defeating Franklin & Marshall by five strokes.

Six CAC men's golf squads have opened their fall 2016 campaigns ... Christopher Newport will open its fall season at the Bay Creek Invitational next week, a preview tournament for the 2017 CAC Championship at Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, Va. ... Mary Washington freshman Ethan Kelly was the Eagles' top finisher in the Tom Kinder Invitational - the first ever varsity match for UMW. Kelly shot a 73-73 for a +2 composite score, tying for ninth overall at the event. Included in his first round was an eagle on his second hole, a par 5, the first in program history ... Marymount's Erik Timlin has opened his junior season, second with the Saints, with two top-17 finishes in the first two tournaments of the season. Averaging a 74 (+2) through four rounds of play, the Sweden native placed seventh in the opening tournament at the Tom Kinder Memorial, racking up a 72-73 for a +1 for the weekend. He continued the trend on Sunday and Monday this week at the PSU Invitational, taking 17th with rounds of 75-77. The Saints, led by Timlin, took 5th place at Tom Kinder out of 17 teams that had countless ranked teams ... New Jersey City freshman Cameron Arnold has broken several school records since teeing off for the first time as a Gothic Knight this month. Arnold led NJCU to a school-record two-day team score of 646 at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational. Individually, he broke the school record with a four-over par 76 on day two of the tournament. Arnold also shot a 36-hole school record of +13 (157) ... York placed sixth at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational and ninth at the Tom Kinder Memorial, led by freshman Morgan Uhlick in both tournaments. Uhlick opened his career with a top-20 finish at the Tom Kinder Memorial, firing 75-74 for a two-day total of 149. He then finished tied for fifth at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational with a two-day total of 146. He is leading the Spartans with an average of 73.4 strokes per round.
