Christopher Newport Senior Jalon Brown and Salisbury Senior Logan Becker Claim CAC Men's Soccer Weekly Awards

YORK, Pa. -- Christopher Newport senior Jalon Brown and Salisbury senior Logan Becker were named the CAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week for Nov. 3, 2014.  

Offensive Player of the Week

Christopher Newport senior Jalon Brown was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after tallying two goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Captains, including the game-winning goal in the CAC first round victory over Mary Washington. Brown opened the week with a goal and two assists in the second half against Marymount, leading a critical comeback that clinched a playoff berth for the Captains. With his game-winner against Mary Washington on Saturday, Brown became just the fourth player in CNU history to reach the 40-point plateau in a season. He leads the CAC in both points (40) and goals (17).

Salisbury senior Logan Becker was honored as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after helping Salisbury clinch the top seed in the CAC Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Wesley last Wednesday. With the defense down two starting senior backs, Becker led the backline for the full 90 minutes, limiting the Wolverines to one goal.

Salisbury (3rd) and Christopher Newport (4th) and  are both ranked in the South Atlantic Regional rankings ...
