Marymount sophomore Collin Chartier was awarded as the CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after finishing third individually and leading the Saints to a second-place team finish at the Fifth Annual Rich Achtzehn Classic in York, Pa. Chartier conquered the 8k course in 27:22.60 to claim third.

Christopher Newport is ranked 2nd in the USTFCCCA South/Southeast Region Week 1 rankings, while Mary Washington is 10th and York is 10th in the Mideast Region ... Christopher Newport freshman Sam Murch posted the top time among Division III competitors and finished 25th overall at the William & Mary Cross Country Invitational ... Salisbury placed second out of 10 Division II & III teams at the Delaware Invitational, led by Brandon Horning in fifth place ... Southern Virginia freshman Michael Myers finished third out of 66 runners at the John Tucker Invitational, helping the Knights to a third-place team finish ... Running in his first cross country race at any level, Wesley freshman Luis Arteaga completed the DSU Hornet Invitational in 11th of 34 runners ... York captured the team title at its Rich Achtzehn Classic, paced by Michael Stetson in fourth.
