YORK, Pa. -- Marymount sophomore Nicole Viscuso was awarded as the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 1, 2016.

Marymount sophomore Nicole Viscuso was awarded as the CAC Player of the Week after averaging 20 points per game on 69.6% shooting in a 2-0 week for the first-place Saints. She also averaged 2.5 blocks, 2.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds in victories over Wesley and Frostburg State. Against Wesley, she notched a game-high 20 points with two blocks, four rebounds and three assists. Against Frostburg State, she posted another game-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds, two assists and game-high three blocks. Viscuso has now scored 20-plus points in six games this season.

First-place Marymount (10-1 CAC) continues to hold a one-game edge over CNU, UMW and York atop the CAC standings, as all four squads went 2-0 last week ... CNU has won 11 straight games ... Frostburg State's Kirsten Rayner collected 31 points and 13 rebounds in two games last week ... Junior Brianne Comden scored a career high 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field as Mary Washington topped Frostburg State on Wednesday, then added 11 points in the Eagles' win over Wesley. She averaged 19.5 points and 4.5 rebounds for the week ... Nina Haller averaged nearly 20 points in a 1-1 week for St. Mary's. Haller started the week with a game-best 19 points in the loss to Salisbury. She finished the week with a season-best 20 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in leading the Seahawks to the win over Southern Virginia, putting an end to their two-game skid ... Salisbury's Julia McLaughlin averaged 19 points and 9.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Sea Gulls.
