Salisbury Senior Kara O'Rourke and York Senior Karlie Dougherty Named CAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury senior Kara O'Rourke and York senior Karlie Dougherty earned CAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors for April 13, 2015.

Salisbury senior Kara O'Rourke was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after handing out 11 assists and adding two goals in a 2-1 week for the Sea Gulls. In a triumph over Christopher Newport on Tuesday, O'Rourke posted five assists and two goals for a career-high seven points. She followed that performance with four assists in a victory against St. Mary's on Friday night, which clinched the No. 1 seed in the CAC Tournament for the Sea Gulls. O'Rourke now has 39 assists for the year, ranking fourth in the nation and tops in the CAC.

York senior Karlie Dougherty was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Spartan defense limit opponents to just eight goals in a pair of CAC wins last week. In a victory over Frostburg State, Dougherty tied a school record with seven caused turnovers and also notched seven ground balls and three draw controls. Against Southern Virginia, Dougherty had four draw controls in the York win.
