Salisbury sophomore Annika Kezman was selected as the CAC Player of the Week after beginning the season a perfect 7-0 through four matches. Kezman has won all four of her No. 1 singles matches in straight sets. In doubles play, she has teamed with classmate Julia Kwedi for a 3-0 record at the No. 1 position. The Sea Gulls are off to a 3-1 start this spring with wins over Dickinson, Catholic, and Bridgewater (Va.).

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Five CAC teams have opened their spring 2018 campaigns, with Frostburg State, Penn State Harrisburg, and York set to open play this week ... Junior Danielle Mirabella has gotten off to an undefeated start as No. 15 Mary Washington is off to a 3-0 start. Mirabella is 3-0 in singles play, having won at three singles against Dickinson and Methodist, as well as at four against Franklin & Marshall. She has claimed all three wins in straight sets. In doubles, Mirabella and Olivia Moore are 2-0 in doubles play, with wins at three against Methodist and F&M ... St. Mary's senior Melissa Barall delivered the match-clinching point in a 5-4 win over Randolph-Macon, winning 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Barall trailed 4-3 in the first set before rallying for the victory ... 
Southern Virginia defeated Lynchburg 5-4 in its lone match this spring. Sophomore Rachel Christensen won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles to clinch the victory. She also teamed with Audrey McBride for an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
