YORK, Pa. -- Christopher Newport freshman Jessica Lee was named CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Sept. 20, 2016.

Christopher Newport freshman Jessica Lee was named the CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after winning the College Division 5k at the William & Mary Invitational, crossing the line 19:21.3. That performance not only led all non-Division I athletes, but it also placed her 17th among all competitors at the meet. Guided by that performance, the Captains won the team title at the competition with a score of 18.

Frostburg State took home a title trophy at the Penn State Greater Allegheny Invitational. For the third-straight meet, Laurie Gotte was the Bobcats' top finisher, capturing third overall in 22:20 ... St. Mary's Halcyon Ruskin was the top finisher for the Seahawks at the Division II/Division III Challenge in Kutztown, Pa. Ruskin placed 116th out of 244 runners with a time of 26:10.1 ... Salisbury's Abby Potter was the team's top finisher at Rowan, placing 12th overall with a time of 24:10 ...  York's Jess Delviscio placed 52nd at the Division II/Division III Challenge at 24:57.2.
