Salisbury junior Alison Schwarz was named the CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after placing third at the Salisbury Fall Classic. Schwarz finished the 6k in 23:18 on a wet, windy course behind only two runners from DeSales. The Sea Gulls placed second in the team standings at the meet.

Christopher Newport's Emmie Schmitt and Taylor Mansini posted the top time at the CNU Cross Country Relays, completing the course in 38:11.39 on Thursday. Overall, the Captains posted the top-six pairings during the meet to out-distance Virginia Commonwealth, Mary Washington, and Richmond ... Laurie Gotte paced Frostburg State at the 2016 Galen Piper Cross Country Challenge at Shippensburg University. The Bobcats finished in seventh place and Gotte took home 53rd overall in 17:19. Freshman Michala Garrison was second on the Bobcats in 69th place (18:12) ... Mary Washington opened the season at the CNU Invitational Relays in Richmond. Rosie Kostka and Molly Garthwaite was the Eagles' top duo, finishing in 12th place ... Marymount's Brooke Saunders came in at 25th to lead the Saints at the Salisbury Fall Classic, registering a time of 24:52 ... St. Mary's sophomore Halcyon Ruskin finished 27th at the Light Up the Night Invitational 5k last Thursday, helping the Seahawks to fourth place in the team standings ... Jess Delviscio sas York's top finisher at the Galen Piper Classic hosted by Shippensburg on Friday night.
