YORK, Pa. -- Frostburg State senior Ricky Brady and Salisbury senior Brett Collacchi were named the CAC Baseball Players of the Week for March 16, 2015.

Frostburg State senior Ricky Brady was chosen as the CAC Player of the Week after batting .615 (8-for-13) in a trio of CAC victories as the Bobcats pushed their undefeated record to 12-0. In a win over Southern Virginia and a twinbill sweep of Christopher Newport, Brady drove in 10 RBIs, scored six runs and notched two home runs and two doubles. He finished the week with a 1.308 slugging percentage.

Salisbury senior Brett Collacchi was honored as the CAC Pitcher of the Week after tossing eight scoreless innings and allowing just two hits in an 8-2 Sea Gull victory over Mary Washington in the doubleheader opener on Sunday. Collacchi was perfect until the fourth inning and pitched a no-hitter into the fifth frame. He tallied eight strikeouts and walked just two in the win.

Salisbury is ranked fourth and Frostburg State 25th in the D3baseball.com Week 3 Rankings ... Frostburg State currently sits atop the CAC with a 5-0 conference record, followed by Salisbury at 3-0 ... Nine of the 10 CAC teams have now opened up CAC play ... Frostburg State senior lefthander Clayton Freimuth improved to 3-0 with 12 strikeouts and one earned run in a seven-inning performance against CNU ... Mary Washington senior Jono Haught hit .538 for the week, with two doubles, a triple, and two home runs, scoring eight runs and adding five RBI. His OPS for the week was 1.992, better than last week's numbers that brought him honorable mention national hitter of the week honors ... Marymount's Scott Robison collected his first save of the season against Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday, pitching 3.1 innings of scoreless relief while the Saints nursed a one-run lead ... Salisbury sophomore Pete Grasso was a key factor in all three of Salisbury's wins last week, going 7-for-13 (.538) at the plate with two home runs, eight RBIs and nine runs scored. The Sea Gulls defeated Wesley 14-2 on Wednesday and swept Mary Washington on Sunday ... Southern Virginia's CJ Andrus went 3-for-4 with two RBIs against Frostburg State ... Wesley's Eric Speidel batted .500 for the week with two RBIs, including a leadoff homer against Salisbury ... Brad Wenzel helped lead York to a 10-7 victory in its CAC opener, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and three RBIs. For the year, Wenzel is hitting .421 with 10 runs scored, 10 RBI, three doubles and a triple from his second spot in the order. He also boasts a .519 on-base percentage as he has drawn a team-high six walks in five games.
