Salisbury Junior Nathan Blondino and York Senior Caleb Abney Earn CAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors
YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury junior Nathan Blondino and York senior Caleb Abney were picked as the CAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for March 14, 2016.

Salisbury junior Nathan Blondino was selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after totaling 12 points on six goals and six assists in a 2-0 week for the second-ranked Sea Gulls. Against No. 19 Stevenson, Blondino tallied three goals and two assists, with all of his goals coming in the second half, including the eventual game-winner. Against St. Mary's, Blondino recorded three goals and four assists and again notched the eventual game-winning goal.

Salisbury senior Caleb Abney picked up CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight week after recording a season-high 15 saves in the 11th-ranked Spartans' 9-7 victory over fifth-ranked Gettysburg. Abney posted a save percentage of 68.2% to earn the win in the Spartans' lone game of the week.

All but two teams have opened up CAC play with four conference matchups taking place last week ... Salisbury is ranked No. 2 in both the USILA and Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Rankings. York is ranked No. 6 both polls, while Frostburg State is No. 15 in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine poll and No. 16 in the USILA rankings ... Frostburg State (7-0), Salisbury (7-0) and York (5-0) remain unbeaten in 2016 ... Frostburg State's Chase Cullison found the net six times and handed out one assist in two victories last week. In the Bobcats' 14-5 win over Lycoming, Cullison scored four goals, had one assist, caused two turnovers and scooped up five ground balls ... Mary Washington junior Miles Davis scored five goals and added one assist for the week, including four goals and an assist in a CAC opening win over Southern Virginia ... Marymount's Max Johnson pieced together a great week in Florida for the Saints, guiding them to a 2-0 spring break with identical 12-11 wins over Cazenovia and DeSales. Johnson tallied five goals and two assists throughout the two wins, including a game-winner ... St. Mary's Austin Toland registered career-bests of four goals and four points against Kenyon ... Salisbury's Will Nowesnick totaled seven ground balls and seven caused turnovers last week ... Southern Virginia's Payton Kimber scored four goals in the Knights' win over Wesley, the first-ever CAC victory for the Knights. Kimber ranks fourth on team in goals, and third in both assists and points ... Wesley's Jack Redefer was the Wolverines' top point-getter in their two games this week, scoring five goals in Wesley's loss to Southern Virginia beforing totaling four goals and two assists in a 14-13 win over Methodist ... For the year, York's Caleb Abney owns a 4.49 goals against average and a .700 save percentage in 240:36 of work. Abney has made 42 saves on 96 shots faced.
