YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury junior Luke Campbell and Frostburg State junior J.R. Lowery were presented the CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for Feb. 10, 2015.

Salisbury junior Luke Campbell was given the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after completing three races which ranked in the top 15 nationally this season at the Vince Brown Invitational. Campbell won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.05 and was the only Division III competitor to advance to the 10-man finals in the event. His time ranks first in the conference and second in the nation this year. He went on to win the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.41, which ranks first in the CAC and 11th in the country. Campbell also placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.38, which is first in the conference and 12th in the nation.

Field Athlete of the Week

J.R. Lowery | Frostburg State | Jr.

Frostburg State junior J.R. Lowery was awarded the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after earning two season-best efforts in the shot put and weight throw at the Crusader Classic at Susquehanna on Friday. He finished runner-up in the shot put with an ECAC-qualifying toss of 51'-5.0'', which ranks third in the conference and 26th in the nation. In the weight throw, Lowery hit the ECAC mark of 51'-3.5'' and finished third. His weight throw toss ranks second in the conference.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

All seven CAC teams competed in non-scoring events this past weekend ... This past weekend's meets marked the final tune-up for the 2015 CAC Indoor Championship for all but three teams ... Salisbury senior Dylan Burkett  led the Sea Gulls at the Vince Brown Invitational with two top-five finishes in the field events. He took third in the weight throw with a throw of 52'-9.25" and also took a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a 47'-1" throw. Senior Thomas Burke made a move in the national rankings, climbing to 15th fastest, with a second-place finish in the 800-meter run, covering the distance in 1:55.19 ... Wesley freshman Urgy Eado and senior Matt Bundy won the mile and 60m hurdles in school-record times at the Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday ... York had two school records fall at the DeSchriver Invitational. Anthony Smart broke the school record in the 600 meters (1:29.33) and Alex Smith set a new school mark in the 1,000 meters (2:40.72).
