FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Mary Washington sophomore Rachel Summers was chosen as the CAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the third time this season on April 24, 2018.

Mary Washington sophomore Rachel Summers was chosen as the CAC Player of the Week for the third time this year after going unbeaten in singles and doubles for the Eagles in a 2-0 week. She went 2-0 at No. 2 singles against Salisbury and TCNJ, and also picked up a No 2 doubles win vs. TCNJ with Caroline Mosberg. In singles, she scored a 7-5, 6-0 win at Salisbury over Julia Kwedi, and tallied a 6-4, 6-2 win over Grace Minassian at TCNJ.

The five-team CAC Tournament field is set and will begin on Friday, Apr. 27 with a first round matchup in York, Pa. between No. 4 York and No. 5 Southern Virginia ... No. 1 Mary Washington will host the York/SVU winner in the semifinals on Tuesday, May 1, while No. 2 Christopher Newport will host No. 3 Salisbury in Tuesday's other semifinal ...
