YORK, Pa. -- York junior Alicia Dillman was honored as the CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Sept. 15, 2015.

York junior Alicia Dillman was named the CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after capturing the individual title and helping the Spartans to the team crown at the sixth annual Rich Achtzehn Classic in York, Pa. on Saturday. Dillman edged teammate Jenna Roberts for first place, finishing with a time of 25:58.0 in the 6k race.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
Christopher Newport received 12 votes in the USTFCCCA Preseason National Rankings, finishing just outside the top 35 teams. The first poll of the 2015 season will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 16 ... Seven CAC cross country teams were in action this past weekend ... York won its sixth annual Rich Achtzehn Classic, while St. Mary's finished third and Marymount placed fourth. Penn State Harrisburg also had three individuals compete in the meet. York claimed the top five individual finishes in the meet, with each of the top five finishing less than a second apart ... Mary Washington took second among non-Division I schools at the James Madison Invitational ... Wesley placed ninth out of 11 squads at the University of Delaware.
