Southern Virginia freshman Morgan Bingham secured CAC Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this year after placings 15th overall in a field of 280 runners at the 31-team Gettysburg Invitational. Bingham broke the Southern Virginia women's 6k record with a time of 23:30.

Last week's competition served as the final tune-up for CAC squads for the 2017 CAC Cross Country Championships ... The CAC Championships will be hosted by Christopher Newport at Lee Hall Mansion in Newport News, Va. The women's 6k is set for 11 a.m., followed by the men's 8k at noon ... Facing a field that included 15 programs listed in the latest USTFCCCA National Rankings, Jessica Lee helped CNU place 20th overall during the Cowbell Classic on Saturday afternoon at Principia College's North Farm Cross Country Course. During the race, Lee led the Captains and finished 99th overall with a time of 23:54.41 during the 6k ... Sophomore Lauren Halvorson was Frostburg State's top finisher at the Hood College Open, completing the course in 27:05.7, good for 23rd place overall in a field of 93 runners ... Junior Jillian Weisbeck was Mary Washington's top finisher at the Oberlin College Inter Regional Rumble on Saturday, placing 30th overall at 23:18. The Eagles placed 13th in the team competition ... St. Mary's Lindsey Stevenson came in fourth overall place in the Hood Open and ran a time of 24:44 ... Salisbury senior Alison Schwartz led the Gulls with a 46th-place finish at the Inter-Regional Border Battle at Rowan University this past weekend. Schwartz came home in a time of 23:08.5 while averaging a mile time of 6:12.3 to help the women's team finish 16th overall at the race ... Wesley freshman Natalie Quigley finished the women's 5k at the Delaware State Alumni Invitational in sixth place with a time of 21:07.0. She ran an average mile of 6:47. It was Quigley's third top-10 finish of the season ... York junior Jess DelViscio finished 44th at Inter-Regional Border Battle at Rowan on Saturday as York finished 12th.
