York Sophomore Grant Dell and Salisbury Freshman Michael Milleman Tabbed as CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week
YORK, Pa. -- York sophomore Grant Dell and Salisbury freshman Michael Milleman were named the CAC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for April 19, 2016.

York sophomore Grant Dell secured CAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after posting back-to-back standout performances at the Moravian Coach P Open and the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational over the past two weeks. On April 9 at Moravian, Dell ran a personal-record time of 15:05 in the 5,000 meters, which ranks atop the CAC this spring. This past Saturday in Baltimore, he finished at 3:55.16 in the 1,500 meters, setting a new school record. His 1,500 time is first in the CAC and 24th nationally.

Salisbury freshman Michael Milleman was named the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after posting the top mark in the CAC in the javelin throw at the New Captains Classic on Saturday. Milleman recorded a throw of 175'-6" to finish second in the event and first among Division III competitors. His mark set a new personal record.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE
The CAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place later this week, April 22-23 at Frostburg State ... During the New Captains Classic, Christopher Newport's Ryan Scott finished second in the 110-hurdles with a time of 14.63. That clocking ranks eighth in the NCAA this year and fifth in program history. Scott also finished second in the 400-hurdles (56.09) and fourth in the 400 (49.87) ... Frostburg State junior J.R. Lowery broke his own school record and the Mason-Dixon Invitational record in the shot put (17.19m), helping the Bobcats to second place in the meet. Over the past two weeks, Lowery posted four wins, and four ECAC-qualifying marks ... Luke Campbell led Salisbury at the New Captains' Classic, placing first in one individual event, while anchoring two first-place relays for the Sea Gulls. The SU 4x400 team's time of 3:16.75 ranks sixth in the country ... York's Alex Palescandolo notched a personal record in the discus (44.56m) at the Coach P Open hosted by Moravian two weeks ago. On Saturday at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational, Palescandolo finished fourth in the shot put (14.52m) and fifth in the discus (42.16m).
