Salisbury freshman Jordan Schaefer was chosen as the CAC Player of the Week after going 6-0 last week in a 2-1 week for the Sea Gulls. Schaefer was a perfect 3-0 in singles matches at the No. 5 position, posting straight-set victories against Occidental and Whittier and a three-set triumph against 40th-ranked Oberlin. In doubles, she teamed with Claudia Lohn for a trio of victories at the No. 2 spot.

In the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings, Mary Washington is No. 15 and Christopher Newport is No. 24 ... CNU freshman Johanna Ranta-aho picked up the only singles win of the week for the Captains in a 7-2 loss to No. 15 Mary Washington. Ranta-aho won 6-4, 6-3 at the No.2 singles over Taylor Diffley, marking Diffley's first loss of the season in dual play ... Frostburg State freshman Allison Paul finished 3-1 in singles action and was a perfect 4-0 in doubles play as the Bobcats traveled to Hilton Head for their annual spring break trip. Paul teamed with Emma Seibert for four wins at No. 3 doubles and also won two of her three singles matches at the No. 5 spot ... Mary Washington freshman Rachel Summers scored a pair of wins as No. 15 UMW topped No. 24 Christopher Newport on Saturday. She and Ashley Barrow won at No. 2 doubles, 8-6, before she defeated Alexandra Drye, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 4 singles ... Southern Virginia freshman Natalie Teets tallied the Knights' only point against Bridgewater with an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles with Lauren Morrison. The Knights went 1-1 last week, falling to Bridgewater and defeating Averett 6-3.
