YORK, Pa. -- Southern Virginia senior Leah Huber was honored as the CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for Oct. 20, 2015.

Southern Virginia senior Leah Huber was honored as the CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after placing second individually at the Panther Classic hosted by Virginia Union on Oct. 9, leading the Knights to the team title. Huber broke the program's 5k record with a time of 18:41 to secure second place. At the Cross Country Only National Invitational hosted by Richmond this past weekend, Huber placed 18th among 48 runners in a field of primarily Division I competition.

CNU finished first among Division III teams and third overall behind only William & Mary and VCU at the CNU Invitational. Lydia Cromwell placed 10th with a time of 23:19 in the 6k ... Frostburg State's Gabbi Maher and Faith Thackston each finished in the top 20 at the Hood College Open ... Mary Washington senior Claudia Autore finished seventh at the NCAA South/Southeast Preview Race, with a time of 23:48. The Eagles finished second among nine teams at the event, just three points behind Washington & Lee ... Megan Gerdes led St. Mary's to its second third-place finish of the season as the Seahawks took third at the Hood College Open. Gerdes ran the 6K course in 24:24.7 for her first career top 10 finish as she came in ninth out of 82 finishers ... Jamie Farley led Salisbury to a ninth-place finish at the Gettysburg Invitational, placing 50th overall with a time of 24:25.7 ... Alicia Dillman led York to 14th place at the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan. Dillman finished in 36th place finish with a personal-record time of 22:23.40.
